| CLUB GUIDELINES 1. What is the IAC?: The purpose of the Club is to share and enjoy adventures in a manner which is in keeping with good conservation practices. The Club will operate on a non-profit basis and no property or funds can be used for the private benefit of members. 2. Membership: One fee for one e-mail address. Membership categories are full fiscal year. The fee is 2,000 JPY. The fee can be changed by the committee anytime. It is non-transferable and non-refundable. Members must be at least 20 years old. 3. Manner: Consideration and polite behavior are essential in order to ensure the enjoyment of all events. Especially, event organizers must be treated with respect, as these people are members who volunteer their time and skills for the enjoyment of everyone. 4. Safety: Members are responsible for their own safety. 5. Committee: The Committee typically consists of 4 members: President, Treasurer, Technical Manager, and Secretary. Members can volunteer to join the Committee anytime. The existing Officer can challenge the candidate(s) or give up the post. When there is a new candidate, the Committee will call for a simple vote at the General Meeting with prior notice. Other possible candidates can come forward. A simple half of attended members should approve the new candidate. The previous Committee members are exempt from the membership fees. Their membership will be automatically renewed. 6. Governance: Members must respect the authority of an event organizer and the Committee and follow any additional rules set up. The Committee may refuse membership, or remove it, for any cause which could likely bring the club into disrepute. Any grievance or concern shall be brought to the attention of the Committee and the verdict of the Committee shall be accepted as final and binding.
