How to join

Newcomers are free to check out a public event (please note that some events are for members only, at the discretion of the event organizer), or come to a general meeting or happy hour. If you decide that you like us and want to join the club, the membership fee is 2000 yen per fiscal year (April to March) membership. Membership can be paid in either of two ways:

1. Pay directly to a committee member (this year’s committee) in person at an event (see the “Events!” page of this website), OR

2. Pay by bank transfer to the club treasurer (Mizue). For details on payment by bank transfer, please use the form on the “Contact” page of this website.

The membership fee covers the cost of our meeting room rentals, website hosting, and sometimes helps subsidize activity planning and club-wide events. After your payment is received, we will place you on the club email list, so that you receive information about all events (public as well as members-only) and so that you can post your own events to the club mailing list as well.

Please note that although event organizers are concerned about the safety of participants of their events, the IAC is an entirely voluntary group. By joining IAC, you acknowledge that you are responsible for your own safety at all times.
